It is amazing how many toxins you will find in the average home today.
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention the air quality in most homes and other buildings is usually more polluted than the air that is outside, even in major cities. With many new chemicals being introduced to the world’s market every year, household toxins are more prevalent than ever. According to the global healing center health issues that have been linked to the common toxins found in households are reduced sperm counts, hormone disruption, thyroid and reproductive issues, headaches, liver and kidney issues, weakened immune systems, and respiratory complications.
You most likely are introducing these chemicals into your home without even realizing it. Most of these chemicals are spread through your home while you are freshening the air, cleaning your home, spraying insect repellents and many other activities. These chemicals can be found in air fresheners, polishing agents, scouring powders, surface cleaners and insecticides.
The chemicals that are most dangerous in the above products are ammonia, mica, chlorine, fluoride, triclosan, petroleum jelly, sodium hydroxide, DBP (dibutyl phthalate), DEA (diethanolamine), PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), SLS/SLES (sodium laureth sulphate), Formaldehyde (DMDM hydantoin, diazolidinyl urea, imidazolidinyl urea), BHA/BHT (butylated hydroxyanisole, butylated hydroxytoluene), coal tar dye (P-phenylenediamine) and Synthetic essential oils.
